It might help for a year or two, but it will still happen. As staffs adjust, recruiting will just become more insane right before the early signing period. It might be different if the signing period were to happen in like September, but December and February aren't very far apart.

it would also mean the big boys would put the offers out to the 2nd tier guys sooner instead of waiting until after xmas, those kids would still have to wait.. it will help with kids secure in the offers they already had, but those kids usually didnt jump ship anyway.
