I think it comes down to the next two games, have to find a way to pull the monumental upset next week, or somehow win at Miami. Assuming of course we beat Wake and Bc at home.

It would be an upset, particularly on the road, but I'm not ruling out the Florida State game with the way they have played since Francois got hurt.

I think Louisville and FSU are our best chances.

We'll score against Ville to hopefully keep up with Jackson. FSU's defense is NFL caliber but their offense isn't much outside of Cam Akers.

I'm not ruling out Fsu pulling out of their slump, they just have too much talent, and I can't see us beating Lville on the road, I said it before the season, I think Miami is our best chance at an upset.

What did Syracuse show us today, that would suggest we can score with Louisville. We get tons of yards, but can't score. Same with .S.U.
If score was kept by yardage, I'd give us a shot.

Well, nothing, that's why we're just hoping to win that game. Nobody here is expecting us to.

our best shot is FSU. Second would be ...our best shot is FSU

This team can beat anyone...they could also lose to everyone. The good thing is, I don't think you could say the first part prior years. Personally, I am optimistic they put it together against somebody and pull off a huge upset. I am hoping after today's loss, FSU starts to spiral. 3 losses for a program of their stature, and recent success has nothing to play for anymore. I can see them packing it in this season.

There's enough games to get a potential upset. Clemson is a loss... that's it. Any other game is winnable.

Clemson was only up 7 on BC in the 4th last week. Beat Wake by only 14.

They’ll be our toughest challenge, but it’s not like they are untouchable.

We'll likely have a shot at a bowl game even if we wind up 5-7. Just like last year. If we beat Wake and BC, that might be enough.

Good point. We simply dont take ebough shots at the end zone. We have experienced skill guys and the oline is playing good enough to take some shots, but no.

But on a separate note, it appears that your vehemence toward the Tampa 2 was off target.

Improved personnel / depth has made a huge difference.

Don’t know about that. One less bowl this year and our APR dropped 5 points. Our APR is middle of the pack in the FBS

Yes, not really in subject with the fact the 4th quarter was poorly managed and we are not aggressive with

Sure, many of us have questioned the D scheme at this level. Love the defensive improvement. The Dline has been stout, still need more pressure, but we have held down the los from a defensive perspective. Offensively, we still arent good at taking shots. The 4th quarter wasnt aggressive enough offensively. We were actually working on the clock with a 7 pt lead.

If Jackson is hurt we can absolutely beat UL. Florida St is going to be out for blood against him.

@FSU is the one I'm looking at. They had their heart ripped out today and are now 1-3.

Florida teams that are expected to compete for national championships and start 1-3 tend to quit/implode in spectacular fashion.

Agree with this. I honestly believe at home on a Friday night with a decent crowd (40K, is that too much to ask for?) that Clemson could be had. We will need to play our A game and Dungey will need to play his ass off, but their starting QB got hurt and who knows what happens? We have made plays against teams all year. Just haven't put it together.

Oh by the way, LSU beat Florida at Florida today. That's a pretty good win for them. And we were right there with them all game.

Here's what I'll say to this: when a team is developing, yards come first, then points begin to generate.

I don't think Syracuse beats Clemson or Miami, but if they start scoring in the 30's in the last 4 games, I'd say they have a chance v. BC, Louisville, and Wake

This may seem a bit simplistic, but I think we stand the best chance for the upset against the teams with the smallest DTs. Example, NC St starts two 300# guys at DT who are backed up by two 300# guys. We averaged 2 yards/carry rushing against them. Pitt has nobody starting or 2nd on the depth chart on the D line who weights 300# and what happened? 3.2 yards/carry rushing. Yes, I know 3.2 is not impressive but we actually looked at times today like we could run the ball. When we can't run at all our O becomes far more predictable.

By this measure: Clemson will be very tough b/c they've got a pair of 300+ guys clogging the middle. FSU does too, and Miami's not far behind. UL starts one 300# guy on the dline with one backup 300# guy. I think we've got our best shot at moving the ball on the ground against UL.

However, the Clemson game becomes more interesting if they need to start their backup QB. That perhaps gives us a punchers chance.

We win out we really need one thing to happen win the ACC Atlantic that is an upset.. Thats a pretty scary thought right now.

FSU really should be 0-4. Wake had them beat, FSU played a better game against Miami but they are hanging on the D making every play and the offense just a few. Root for Duke next week.

last year pitt/bc/NC/FSU all went bowling there is a good shot none of them do this year so thats a bunch of spots opening up.. Add in BYU. NW/Cincy are in trouble too.
