Shafer doesn't need an excuse, he didn't do that badly.

And when P was booted he was 12-12 his last two years and had a roster with NFL prospects on both sides of ball from 5th year seniors down to incoming freshmen. He won 60% as many games in 1 year as Robinson did in 4.

As for the state of the program it took until last year for the offense to get back to where P left it.

P was 16-20 his last 3. Even if you want to take the last 2 only, that's only .500 which is sad considering where we were. Took Marrone 1 year to better that. Just because Robinson was bad, doesn't make P good. He sank the program those last 3 years and its taken less time for him to sink UConn. Yea...he was better than Robinson. Big deal.

Wish we still had a Nassib, Lemon and Pugh.

Pasqualoni left 26 kids that ended up getting NFL contracts, 9 that were drafted. Robinson left Marrone 12 that ended up in camp, 6 that got drafted. But keep talking about how Robinson was screwed by P but he left such a full cupboard for Marrone.

Robinson went 1-10 his first year with 17 Seniors and Juniors that ended up getting contracts, 6 that got drafted, in 2005, but P's the one who sank the program. Yeah that makes sense.

Get this straight, Robinson gutted this program, he's the Forrest Gump of program dumpster fires, a freaking pyromaniac, the anti-Midas, everything he touches turns to .
