The topic is pretty self explanatory. Tomorrow night's drawing will be for the largest Megamillion's jackpot ever (somewhere in the 500-550M range). Seeing as we are all varying levels of irrational SU football fans here, what would you do for the football program if you won the jackpot?

I'll get started:

1) An off campus stadium with a retractable roof, TWO jumbo-trons, better transportation access and areas for overnight camping/RVing;

2) An on campus practice facility/off-season training center for the football program;

3) Bags full of cash anonymously sent to recruits after signing letters of intent;

4) A bounty program that Gregg Williams would be jealous of; and

5) A lottery system every home game for super fans/young kids to get free tickets in the GOOD seats. Call it a ScholarSEAT program.

What are your ideas?

Not to be a buzz-kill, but if you take the cash payout, you will be left with about $200 million after taxes, so #1 is out, unless it seats about 20k.

I would buy the football team and move it to Toronto. Oh wait, this is SU and not the Bills. I would hire John Calipari as recruiting coordinator and Tom Coughlin as head coach.

#1 would not be out. The fact that you couldn't pay for the stadium upfront is not a deal breaker. Just like a house, you pay for a portion up front and take a 30 year bond on the difference.

I bet you could do it with $50m up-front.

I'd build a luxury box for me and my friends that has a toilet. And sit directly in front of CTO at hoops games.

You'd be sitting on the bench...

$237m after taxes if you live in NYS according to the NY Post.

I'd take that $37m and put $7m to the football practice facility and $30m as a gift for a new stadium at skytop. Hopefully that would come with naming rights so that my dream of a 50,000 seat retractable roof Brown-Boeheim Stadium would come to fruition.

Nothing. They have used their own money and haven't produced anything worth watching since what, 2001? Let them waste their own money. They are doing just fine with that.

I'd relocate the team and school to Hawaii, and I would watch from my palatial estate overlooking the field. Which would be named in my honor, of course.

Start a business in CNY that puts Carrier out of business and gift SU back the naming rights to the Dome so they could generate add revenue.

Why do you have a picture of rutgers fans?

haha, you can tell they're not Rutgers fans because there are too many in the photo. It was the best pic I could find on Google without spending too much time on it.

1. Increase my donation so that I am giving $1 more than the johnny come lately use my business account to pay and increase my prices so the consumer actually pays person.

2. Hire Deepthrowit and others like him to apply more progressive and forward looking thinking.

3. Endow a few scholies.

4. Make a substantial donation to a practice facility.

5. Endow 1 asst coaching hire as long as I get to choose the coach.

Where's the other $425M coming from?

Alright, I'll play along. I would probably donate a substantial portion to SU for academics and a sizable portion to the athletic department, probably in the neighborhood of $25-$30 million combined.

I would have a lot of other donations to make that would not be related to SU.

I'd become the Sherwood Blount of Syracuse football.

I'd pay off who ever needs to be paid off so games could be BYOB.

And give the program a million a year. As long as I have authority over what it's being spent on.

Recruits?

I'd buy the best Northeastern talent, both for the roster and the cheerleading squad.
