IL's Preseason Top 20 Rankings

Duke is the clear No. 1. Like the North Carolina women, the Blue Devils have reached "superteam" status, not only bringing back a strong group, but also bringing in marquee transfers like Michael Sowers.

Maryland is IL's No. 2. The Terps also were winners in the transfer market, but most recently were boosted by the clarity around Jared Bernhardt's status for 2021. He's playing, and he'll be led by new offensive coordinator Bobby Benson.

Syracuse was No. 1 to end the shortened season and bring back the nation's best midfield and high expectations to get the Orange back to Championship Weekend.
