I'm bowing out for now

OMG... I never met you in person but as a board denizen since the 90s I feel connected to you. I have always appreciated the perspective you bring with your posts after yet another season of Syracuse sports passes. Please please keep fighting! My prayers are with you.

Steve, people of faith find great strength and consolation in words like these:

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name and you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior." Isaiah 43:1-3

"Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:28

I was having a good day until I read this.:(

I heard this song earlier today, Asia's "Days like these"; then this thread hit me square in the face with 2X4.

Steve, I hope you have several "Days like these" and change your world.

I'm getting weaker. (If anyone knows a good local agency to send in a helper, I'd appreciate it.) I have this large tumor in my liver. They think both lungs may be cancerous and no they are checking for bone cancer.

And the games and the coaches show are all the same.
God Bless you! I will keep you in my prayers.

Sending you all the love and positive energy, Steve.

Steve,

thank you for your insight over the years.

As you can tell from the posts here, you have provided a valuable service for all those post here and love Syracuse Basketball.

I am a true believer that the Lord has a plan for each and everyone of his children and when he comes for us, we will be ready.

I do not believe that your time is near and I pray that your illnesses will be addressed and resolved.

Steve, my thoughts and prayers remain with you. Keep fighting.

Ask your oncologist about histotripsy. It was FDA approved in 2023 so is fairly new. I don’t believe anyone in Syracuse does it yet and the closest is the University of Rochester. It’s for liver tumors only. Yours may be too large but those requirements always change. Here’s a link to UofR. Ignore the transplant word in the title. Research it elsewhere also.
