I'm calling it now

There aren't even 20,000 BC fans in Boston, let alone anywhere close to that who would travel to see 'their' team.
Thanksgiving weekend right? There won’t be 1k bc fans there

Sadly, I'll put everything I have on under 45k.

If I'm SUAD, I'm giving away large tranches of free seats to groups, schools and the military starting this week for the Wake and BC games. Just get it to 40k. Loud as hell in there even with 35k.

Lots of people home for the holiday, and likely sick of their families. If the team is playing well I think the crowd is pretty big.
100% agree. And if SU needs that game to get to 6 wins or is playing for a 7th regular season win the Dome will have a nice sized crowd. One thing to keep in mind though, this is still America and most of the "sheep" will be at the Mall's holiday shopping that entire weekend, so that will have a big effect on the crowd size. It always does. You lose alot of your "casual fans" to the mall that weekend

I really want to meet "the casual fan."

I have some friends here that are native CNYers. They go up for Thanksgiving and a lot go to the Dome for a game.

I think out of towners who are in town for the holiday weekend is one thing as its your one chance a year to maybe see the team play. But for the native CNY'ers who are here year round they "big sales at the mall" do override a lot of other things on that one weekend. As they can watch SU play any time in their minds but that big screen TV for 20% off that is once a year (or whatever the hot sales are...lol. you get my point)

Find a local that claimed to be a fan during the 90's but doesn't know much about the team the last few years. That probably wouldn't be hard.

Obviously the chances improve with each win
3 wins = 80%
2 wins= 55%
1 win= 15%
0 wins = 0%

I know of at least 15-20 ppl going that haven't been up yet this year. I am working on finalizing things with a new job back in the Binghamton area and plan to be there (also first time at tailgate as a non student) and working to get as much of my family to get themselves up as well.

I work with a bunch

Florida state now and Louisville look like the easier wins than wake and BC ..., who knew ?

Most of the people I know are "casual fans." Their knowledge of SU ranges from "they suck and they have always sucked" to "I'll go when they are playing a good team like Penn State or Notre Dame" to "they'll never be any good as long as they play in a dome."

SU should not waste their money trying to win these folks over. Bring in kids, let them grow with the program. The casual fans will show up - or not - if they're winning, and be gone again the next day.

Yup that's me. Usually make it home for Labor Day (to see opener) and just happens to be a home game for thanksgiving. I'm very happy about this.
