I'm confused about ND football

Should I be rooting for or against them now? Previously, I always wanted them to lose. Always. But now, we'll be playing them regularly, so do we want them to be good or bad? I still think bad, until they join the ACC as full members, then I want them to get good again, right?

Realignment is so confusing. I don't even know who to hate anymore.

I still want them to lose and get excited when SU beats them in anything - cross country, field hockey, women's water polo, anything.

They still are who they always were. Now, they helped us secure our future though so I may root for them in water polo though.

Not really suprising...they may just go with this symbol...it's what the hyprocrites are all about.

I think you have it backwards. You need to bite the bullet and root for themnow, so they join the ACC with the maximum reputation. Once in, you can resume rooting against them. The ACC is a real conference where you can generally root against your rivals and not have to worry about the prestige of the conference taking a hit (exceptions may apply during big bowl games and March Madness).

I was thinking about that earlier. As well as the logo on the field. Would be good branding for the ACC.

Some really silly questions in this thread. If you are not a ND fan then you root against them at all times and in all sports. Also, since football is not part of the ACC there will be no reference or acknowledgement of the ACC anywhere near the football stadium. Well, at least not in or on the football stadium but since the Joyce is right next door it will be "near" the stadium. They just won't do it and to think otherwise is to not understand the arrogance that is Notre Dame football.

I will root AGAINST them when they play:

1) Syracuse
2) Other ACC teams
3) The service academies

I will root FOR them when they play:

1) Rutgers
2) All SEC teams
3) All Big 12 teams

I will have to take other teams on a case-by-case basis.

they are a huge thorn in SU's side when it comes to recruiting, especially with them cherry-picking the top NYS players in recent years

root for them to LOSE - no matter who they play - lose every single game

the ACC's and SU's futures are secure - LOSE you unjustifiably arrogant SOBs - LOSE
