I'm going against the grain here...

Not a chance. A pessimist is actually just a less delusional optimist in full possession of the facts.
A fan has to be an optimist, or else you're just hedging your bet. But, it is official. We suck.

...but I think we have an outside chance to win 6 of our last 7 games here.

Feb 11 @ Miami
Feb 15 vs UNC
Feb 18 @Pitt
Feb 26 vs NC State
Mar 1 @ VTech
Mar 4 @ SMU
Mar 8 vs UVA

The only likely loss is SMU. The other games we can win. 11-9 in ACC play is not out of the question.

Fire away!!!
Unfortunately after 2 games, we’re 0-2 and 6 out of 7 is out of the picture

I almost bumped this last night, but didn't want to be that guy!
6 out of 7 is out of the picture. But 1 out of 7 certainly seems to be well in play at this point.

This thread was so odd based on the fact that we had just beat a terrible BC team in OT, and got whacked by Duke. Optimism is good, but I didn't see where it was coming from.

I just want this nightmarish season to be over. Some difficult decisions will have to be made shortly thereafter.

Actually the decisions don’t get any easier than this. I suspect that no AD has ever been presented with a non-criminal situation that is more obvious what should be done than this.

This will likely be an 0-7
This is the most frustrating team/season since the Donte Green season. Gave up 107 points to UMass, losing twice to them in the Dome in one year. That team had some of the worst effort, especially on defense. A lot of talent came back to do much better the next year.

Two things can be true. I certainly didn’t think we were going to go 6-1 over the last 7, but I also didn’t think we would go 0-7. Sadly though, that is where we are heading…….
