I'm typically very positive when I see changes being made both with the coaching staff - offensive coaching staff change including roles - Lester at OC, Acosta moved to his natural position coach WRs, new TE coach who will also coach OTs and Adams focusing in on OGs & C. That's a pretty significant change in coaching staff roles along with a true TE coach coming in. I'm pumped because we should be expecting a different result this year just from coaching staff changes alone!

However even more changes have been made making me even more pumped! Practice schedule along with S&C has been changed too. And we get a full year with the new IPF. Regardless of what people think about recruiting, it's gotten much better as I have posted before. Top to bottom the classes have been solid unlike before where we had a few playmakers at the top but the bottom of the class was not as good.

Finally our schedule, unlike last year, works in our favor as we start off with weaker teams - not saying anyone of them are pushovers - to the stronger teams later on (besides LSU) in the schedule. We also have a senior QB who will fit well into Lester's O next year and worked with him in the box last year while he was injured.

I like how this is all coming together next year - am pumped up too because it's justified with all the changes made on the O side. Regarding the D side - not much change as its already very good and will get better due to IPF, S&C, practices and schedule next year.

What's not to like all? Go Cuse!

I don't think there's any way SU doesn't score 35+ on Rhody. They're really, really, really bad.

Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face. Villanova totally doused my hopes last year by punching the Orange in the face in game #1. Let's pump the brakes until we see how this team looks in early September. All this crap is window dressing for the major issue which is in game performance.

i'm still in my late November anger stage towards this program. I'm not swayed until i see something tangible on the field that changes. I'm sure many of you will feel the same way if we start out with an OT win over rhode island

Can't disagree with you on anything you said; however, I'm over my 2014 hangover and cannot knock the burning Cuse football addiction inside of me.

As weird as this might sound, I actually look forward to Millhouse having to post positive stats. There's always his spin, though.

After the blazing barn fire that summed up last year, I am damn excited again.

We just landed a solid class with major additions along the defensive and offensive lines. Two versatile, athletic and long QBs from completely random places. Every player we landed looks good, let's hope they all make it.

The IPF is no longer a figment of our imagination. It's real and open for business. Great seeing the workout pictures from inside that place. We're somewhat an official football program from a facilities' POV.

Spring ball is about to begin. The guessing of who made the greatest offseason leaps and how the newcomers may be able to fit into the equation. Who steps up for some of our departing seniors, etc.

Shafer still has my full support. He might do some mind-boggling things, but the man is passionate and I truly hope he can turn things around from last year. I hope he uses his past mistakes and turns them into positive results.

As badly as I loathed last season and had serious doubts about many aspects of this program, the points aforementioned have erased the negativity in my mind.

My temper-tantrum is over with; I cannot wait for the season opener. Good lord, it's hard to wait that long.
