I disliked the end of this season but I thought we overachieved early. I was upset that Cooney ran out of gas at the end of the year; however, we have to remember, it was his first full year and he was absolutely phenomenal in many ways for what was required of him and the emphasis that was placed on his day in and day out. I don't understand why Ennis would go to the NBA. It feels like he's not ready. It reminds me of Dante Green. On the other hand, as good as he was for a Freshman, our offense was slow, deliberate and atypically played in the half court. Next year we should be back to transition basketball again. In looking at next years team, if they stay intact, we should be better than this years.
My take should Jerami stay: Jerami, Christmas, Cooney, Roberson will be stars. I've seen Joseph play. He's faster and bigger than Ennis. He won't be as good but he will be serviceable. Gbinije and Patterson will be better as backups. We'll be deeper.
The glass is more than half full.
On the bad side... I -in' hate UConn.
