never put a down payment on worry. If something bad is going to happen...you will have plenty of time to worry about it after it happens. If it doesn't happen, think of how much time and anquish you gave yourself over something that didn't even happen.
 
Worry is a conditioned behavior. People spend their entire lives worrying about things that never happen. Subconsciously, your mind is reinforced to worry because of all the PREVIOUS occassions you worried and nothing happened. On some level, your mind actually gets it mixed up and thinks worrying about something prevents it from ocurring.

Many of our behaviors and thoughts and stresses are a product of such conditioned behavior to the point some wonder if there really is free will.
 
My grandpa had a heart attack at 58 or so and spent the rest of his life worrying that he'd have another and die at any time.

He lived to be 93.
