In defense of the run defense

Here's an interesting note, 6 plays account for 37% of the yards given up this year.

On 65% of run plays this year the defense has held for 4 yards or less.

Other than those six plays above the defense is allowing 3.06 yds per carry.

Fun facts:

* take away all Big East teams six worst runs and we are still vying with Temple for dead last in rush defense.
* Miami is 112th in total running defense and yet is 4-1.
* those 1.5 oops/game has helped contribute to a 1-3 start.

The objective is to win games. We aren't doing that. College sports are wacky sometimes with data fun that works pro and con.
