I am sometimes a ham, but we're talking star struck with this guy. I might have stuttered and clammed up.
Definitely would have been smiling the whole time just cause it's JB.

I was there Sunday, Jason Dufner's tee shot at #2 missed my head by no more than 4-5 feet. I didn't even see him hit it, but saw a white "flash" just before the ball plowed into the ground right in front of me. Been playing golf for many many years and that was the closest I've ever come to being hit by a ball.

Marsh: what did you actually say to him? I'm curious how you approached him.
He saw my shirt (i am wearing an oak hill shirt that i bought) and he asked me if i went. I said yes and we talked about it. I told him i was from syracuse and wished him well this season and he said thanks. Then he walked away and stopped after about 10 feet, turned around and said to me

Tom lehman hit me with a ball at winged foot in 1997 as i was walking between some trees off one hole. Hit me in the leg on one bounce.

No one's more deserving of this new award than you, pal.
Boy, the engravers work quick when I throw a little cash money their way. :)

Yeah, I meant did you say, "hi, coach" or something like that... and then he commented on your shirt? I'm just curious if you approached him or did he mention your shirt as you walked by?

This would have made it the Best Post Ever...

This whole thread is killing it.

I imagine JB pausing mid-stride, turning back to look at the camera, and as we zoom in his countenance twists, we're fixed with the classic JB sneer... and without warning he abruptly pounds a PBR, wipes his mouth on the sleeve of his suit, and then condescendingly snarls "."

He was with julie and the kids (who are very tall) and i was standing there looking to see if they sold mars bars (which they dont - damn them). I said hello to him (hi coach were my words) and then he saw my shirt and commented on it. Then we talked golf for 30-60 seconds.

My wife wanted to have me ask him for a pic with the kids but i said no. Didnt want to bother him with the family
