You have to stop his legs. Why do our guys constantly try to tackle a running back's shoulders? Our guys were getting dragged for a few extra yards almost every play. Stop the frigging legs, you stop the forward motion. Is this really that hard?

I'll be buying new a TV tomorrow. Mine somehow ended up with a remote through it today. Hate when that happens.

Loud, really exhaustive SIGH.

Love our team, but damn it stop the running game!
Load the box & stop the arm tackles!

Last season for the first 3/4 of the season I thought we tackled exceptionally well.

That kinda disappeared this season.

Our run D isn't that bad when it comes to making early contact, but we're horrendous at giving up yards after contact. That all comes down to lousy shoulder tackling. Just wrap up the knees or ankles and the play is over. It really is that simple.

Cisco got a few welcome to physical college football moments yesterday. I have to remind myself that he’s just a true freshman out there.

I do wonder if our DL is getting seduced by how good of pass rushers they are and if it’s impacting their responsibilities in the run game. I can’t prove that, just a curiosity.

They seem to always be going for the ball and forgetting about the ball handler.

Forget the strip and just get the tackle!

I think at times that may be the case, but Alton was in the backfield all day yesterday. Had 2 sacks and 4 TFL's. He was making plays in the running game. Our glaring tackling issues lie with the back 7. It's terrifying and was completely exploited yesterday.

The Colts, when they had Mathis and Freeney were gashed by the run all the time. They were speed rushers which opened up holes as they got up field. I think this is just what happens with speed rushers with awful LB support.

Linebackers are weak, terrible tackling, read and react is slow, and terrible angles.

They ran thru slayton a couple of times too. We aren't physical enough in taking on blocks and backs. 1-11.

Syracuse is not tackling, They are catching opposing backs and getting dragged another 2,3,4 yards after contact.Syracuse is not delivering blows, they are absorbing them. Thats why most of the time, the runner is able to break the initial tackle attempt or power through for substantial forward progress. Just like the Clemson game, yesterday at Pitt, Pitt was usually 2nd and five or less after almost every rush attempt. Putrid Syracuse defense led by a very bad cooridinator who needs to go.
