Incessant Commercial Breaks?

Also kills momentum of teams. You're down 8 with 2:30 left. You get a layup, then steal it, then hit a 3. You're suddenly down 3. Other team calls a timeout. Instead of 30 second break you sit down for 3 minutes and think it's December all of a sudden.

The funny part is that you'd think that if they are making compromises that impact the action it would be because they are making it a better viewing experience for the fan. In this case, its all in the name of trying to make more and more and more money on the event. The hell with the actual game and the hell with the fan experience, if it will bring a few extra bucks.

So and so sold his jersey for 1 hundred bucks? Ban him for life!!! Only we're allowed to make money of these kids!!!

is EACH team's first called time out of each half a 2:30 time out? or just one per half?

For CBS, only the first team-called time out of each half is 2:30 break. Not the first for EACH team, just the first one, period.

Johnny, do you think somebody from ESPN (maybe Gottleib) called CBS and got them to have longer time out periods to negate our depth?? YES, I am "kidding." It was only a matter of time before someone here asked that question/raised that theory.

Pre-emptive strike. The longer time outs probably have nothing to do with the generating ad money to pay the billion dollar TV contracts...

Thank heavens for DVR.

I don't start watching until 30 minutes in. Recording 2 games simultaneously, Once I catch up and hit a commercial break i'll switch to the other game, then pause that game after catching up, switch and so on.

If you time it right you don't watch any commercials and you can usually get to live coverage by the end for the nail biters.

But I agree, the coverage is awful

I am really hoping to see an Enterprise commercial one of these days. Anyone had the luck of seeing one?

No, but I hear they may hire a former NCAA student athlete or two....so if you aspire to work behind the rental desk at the airport its a pretty nice bonus.
