If Coach Enfield stays 2-3 more years I think we'll see FGCU uttered in the same breath at Gonzaga, VCU, Butler, Xavier and UConn...all great mid-major programs with sustained success. Right now their 4500 seat brand new arena is perfect and the Ft Myers area is starving for a team to root for.

There is also a 7000 seat minor league hockey arena just off campus that some have said could be used for bigger games. Although I'm not really sure I agree with that because when they fill the arena like against Miami the place is absolutely rocking.

Not trying to be a here because the kid clearly has hops - but I only made it about 3/4 of the way through so maybe I missed something, but..., does the kid ever play defense, or is he always looking to leak out? Seems like he was mostly the first or second guy down on many of those dunks. Or does he play off guard and that's why he's out front of those breaks?

that kid fits in perfectly with FGCU type player. Was I asleep for years because as long as I can remember that Woody Harrelson basketball movie was always kinda true and until this team FGCU all these guys who defy the stereotype seem to be showing up and playing for FGCU. Maybe I'm getting too old and just don't pay attention as much anymore.

Regardless the style of player and hoops they play down there sure is appealing an fun to watch. Here's hoping this weeks distractions don't get inside their heads distracting them or give them big heads. Looking forward to their game as much as ours.
