Down 2-0 before even possessing the ball, the Ancients slowly worked their way back into the game with some consistent success at the face-off X coming from Zac Tucci (Harvard). Offensive success came heavy on the hands of future Yale players. Matt Brandau feasted off-ball, making timely cuts and delivering three goals while Brady McDermott pitched in two goals and two assists. Colby Gendron (Brown) and Nick Loring (Harvard) both scored two goals. Sean Kuttin (Yale) and Brian Antonelli (Brown) scored once. Daniel Hincks (Dartmouth) also stood tall in the second half and made seven saves on two goals against. A pair of Syracuse commits lead the scoring with four points each for the Coastals. Attackman [B]Mikey Berkman[/B] (West Orange HS, Fla.) had a goal and three assists and [B]Tyler Lawton[/B] (New Providence, N.J.) had three goals and an assist running out of the box. UNC-bound Chris Nicholas (Chaminade, N.Y.) added a hat trick including a rocket of a step down into the top shelf. Duke-bound goalie Andrew Bonafede (Chaminade, N.Y.) and Syracuse-bound [B]Shahe Katchadurian[/B] (John Jay, N.Y.) held down the defensive end for the Coastals splitting halves and combining to make 11 saves while allowing just the 5 goals against. For the Gentlemen, it was a balanced attack with points from six different players.
