Isn't a big part of the issue also that Red isn't a great communicator, thus not a good salesman? He just doesn't seem very comfortable speaking to larger groups. If that is accurate, then you can see why he wouldn't want to do it. Unfortunately for him, that's a big part of the job.

I'm a friend to AW. I wish he hadn't posted this, as it was obvious how people would say that he is just looking for credit. And, that's fair. He could have said nothing. But, I think this is a neutral thing. Because, he could have charged the university far more than what he bought the domain name. Knowing that EVERYONE thinks he is all about himself, maybe he just wanted to share this information to show that he isn't asking for anything.
