Maybe I’m just imagining things (and if I’m wrong I’m sorry) I but I swear one of our trusted sources here had previously stated that red didn’t like going around asking for money and that he didn’t even really start doing it much until offseason leading up into this season. Which, If true, was insane because that means an entire off season and season passed without doing much if any of that.

Isn't a big part of the issue also that Red isn't a great communicator, thus not a good salesman? He just doesn't seem very comfortable speaking to larger groups. If that is accurate, then you can see why he wouldn't want to do it. Unfortunately for him, that's a big part of the job.
