You know there is something amiss in the metrics when Louisville is below Temple in a measurement of fan support. Somehow, I think their value for consistent support while doing poorly is too heavily weighted against support while performing well. Their formula is off.

From a business perspective, the loyal fan is the one to count on. The fair weather fan is the one that can boost sales, but the loyal fan is the one who proudly wears apparel and buys tickets to the games when the chips are down. It's easy to like a winner.

I could see how that analysis came about - Louisville was up in the 80s, then relegated to conference USA then they rose again.
