Interesting bet on Cuse

They have lost 1 game in 2 seasons. I don't think they are too worried down there about the program's health and kids not taking things seriously. They must be doing something right and they are taking it serious enough. The results speak for themselves
Spoken like an FSU fanatic...lol

Just curious as to what site you are looking at? Unless I'm misreading both sites, . . . has them with three 4 stars in the past four seasons while Skowt has them with five over the past 4 seasons.

Now none of the above is meant to say we will beat them this year, we are only 2-6 against them overall. But both wins took place in Tampa. So it being played there isn't much of a factor to me.

Cheers,
Neil

USF has outrécruited us 2 of the last 3 years. We can feel like we have a good chance but this game is a tossup.

Number one isn't going to change unless we win. Number two is my opinion based on what I have seen. When you have gone 2 years and the offense has been pathetic and the only change to the offensive side is the QB coach becoming OC sorry I am not optimistic in this coach. SS bet on Lester I feel that is a dumb bet so I am not optimistic the coaching will be better to get better talent.

Has our recruiting been significantly better? I would say the ACC move and the states we can draw talent from have contributed to a slight uptick. SS is a better recruiter than DM but DM is a better game preparer by a country mile.

When you bet on sports you are making an assumption. Money isn't free and there are no surebets. This coaching staff has to show me before I will believe in them. 2013 looks more like an outlier year than 2014 IMO.
I'm no mathematician, but is it possible to have an outlier when you only have 2 years of data?

If you read my message and that is what your going to take away I am sorry. You like responding to me but don't bring anything beyond a general dislike of my posts. Sorry I have no reason to be optimistic with this HC. I want to be wrong but until I see it I won't believe it.

At least you got your way with the dreaded Met Life games being ended. That should at least make you the slightest bit happy.

I can't put much stock in ESPN ratings. They tend to be pretty liberal. For crap sake A.J. Long was a 4 on ESPN and a 2 on either skowt or Rovils.

i aint about being happy-
ITS ABOUT RESTORING FAITH - none other than those who either swig koolaid or have a excuse hound are eating what lester is serving-

its that stinkin simple- but you guys just reply with personal attacks because you know the mods and have no fear-

I don't know a single mod outside of this board.

I also have lots of reasons for my optimism about the offense. We know very little about it and don't have a great idea of how it will turn out. You're the one that has judged the OC as unworthy before he's coach a single down of his offense at Syracuse. And he's never had Hunt as his starting QB as an OC.

Yes, they have out-recruited us the past three years. But when you look at Skowt, Rovals, and 247 (which does a composite) the story isn't as bad as you make it out to be. ESPN rankings may ultimately prove to be correct, since the 6 from 2014 probably will only start to play significant minutes this year. But as of now, they are the clear outlier in terms of these star rankings with 6 whereas the rest are coming in at 2.

And like I said in my previous post they also out-recruited us overall the three years prior to us beating them in Tampa in 2010 and 2012. So not sure why you are getting so hung up on this. We will know for sure in the Fall. Going off of last year's results, they are hardly a team that the coaching staff and players should fear, the way your posts are making them sound. Is this what you meant to do? Or did you only want some of us to take them more seriously? I hope it was the latter.

Cheers,
Neil

I was listening to a local sports radio show the other day, and the two hosts made an interesting bet. Will S.U. beat either Florida State, or Clemson, in the next five seasons?
I say, without hesitation...YES.
What say you...and why?

There was a stretch about 10 yrs. ago when both were down and BC won 2 division titles with Matt Ryan. I could see a scenario where one slips a bit and SU can get a win in a 8-4/9-3 type year in the next five seasons.

The Metlife games made us look midmajor program. Sorry, I prefer Syracuse behave like major college football teams behave and play their home games on campus and not 250 miles from the campus.

My goodness. The guy was thinking you'd be happy - not hoping to argue it again.

I remember him from those threads it was a passive aggressive statement at my position. Why would you drop in without knowing that.

Even if we have a 90% chance of losing each of those ten games we still only have a 35% chance of losing all ten.
.

Where did you get these numbers, and why is it not a 90% chance of losing all 10?

Clemson lost their OC. Let's see how they do this year.
Well as long as they don't do something like run their offense with 1 cadence, they should be o.k. I mean who would be dumb enough to do that?...oh yeah...never mind.
