Interesting comment regarding Wake

Made by the commentators during the Wake Forest/Louisville game about how many teams have inter squad scrimmages actually officiated by refs. They noted that Wake Forest does the same thing but are the only team who hires conference refs for scrimmages and they also happen to be the least penalized team in the ACC. Thought that was an interesting aside during their telecast. The announcers just let the inference/possible correlation hang there.

Where do the conf officals live for the most part? seems like and advantage most teams couldnt use if they live more in an area more than other teams.. I mean we are not flying guys into practice. surprised they are allowed to use Conf refs.

it also breeds a familiarity advantage
