If we had beaten either Northwestern or Minnesota, we might have been the only team in none of those three conferences to have beaten teams in the SEC (Mizzou), Big 12 (WVU) and the Big 10 (too bad). I'm too lazy to look it up, but offhand, I cant think of another.

If we had beaten NW or Minny, we wouldn't have been in the Pinstripe and able to beat WVU.

But maybe we would have played some other Big 12 team in some other bowl. Whatever. I thought of this silly factoid while in the shower today. I thought it was a cute way to continue my effort to post "positive" posts around here.

Closest would probably be Notre Dame. Beat 3 Big 10 teams (Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue), 2 Pac 12 teams (Stanford, USC) and a Big 12 team (Oklahoma), but lost their only game against an SEC opponent (Duh).
