International exhibitions?

I know I've seen other schools take Trips overseas, But I think this is the first time that Syracuse has made a international trip. Does anybody know if there is a rule that limits the amount of international trips a school can make In a certain time frame? In normal circumstances, the team won't be able to officially practice until October. This is sort of a no-brainer to jumpstart the year on yearly basis if they can do it.

Its restricted to once every couple of years and syracuse did it in the 90s

I think you can only play exhibitions like this once every 4 years but I am not positive on that...
