By some guy named J.D. Pickell
Do you mean Frank from Old School?Nice interview. Just gonna start calling Fran OLD SCHOOl. This is the way I hoped our team would be ran and i am extremely happy its Fran doing it. I keep hearing u cant get on these kids cause they will just leave and if during recruiting u explain thoroughly how hard you coach for the sake of the kid and then he realizes he dont like it well then we dont need ya. I dont know the Barnes situation but if you cant handle being away from home then u have some things you gotta work on and u can do it somewhere else without me thinking twice about it if thats what happened. He wants u in Nfl but he wants you to grow and be a man first. Its not that hard but it also depends on parenting. I trust in Fran(Old School).
yea but without k lolDo you mean Frank from Old School?

On the other hand: "So if we’re all handling our end of the deal, why would I leave? ..."
My take on this is that everyone is committed to putting in the investment to get us to a national championship caliber team. It’s a matter of if we get there and the factory schools or the NFL comes calling. If we’re not committed in investing to stay at that level, then he will probably go. Fran’s vision is for Syracuse to get to the top and never go back. I think many of us just want to see us get there first, but if we do, we will lose him if we don’t commit to doing what it takes to stay there. On the other hand: "So if we’re all handling our end of the deal, why would I leave? ..."
If he leaves, the excuse will be that the Trustees did not give him what he needed, right?
Why are you singling out that one quote? On the other hand: "So if we’re all handling our end of the deal, why would I leave? ..."

Because... people who are smart leaves themselves an out. And he did. Syracuse barely invests... do you really think that they are suddenly going to start competing with even Duke FOOTBALL on NIL? UNC is throwing tons of money at football. We are dropping like a Wile E Coyote anvil in hoops. Let alone trying to keep up with the big dogs in football. Why are you singling out that one quote?
Literally, his next words were, “I’m going to handle my part. I feel like they’re going to handle their part. All the guys I talk to, we’re on the same page. If they want to renege, different things happen. But I don’t think they’ll renege. I know I’m not going to renege.”
Fran is a man of his word. He talks with the administration, BOT, etc and has set expectations on what he needs. Sounds like they have said, yeah, we got you. If they were to renege on their agreement, that’s not an excuse, that’s a breach of their word. Fran isn’t down with that.
"I think our administration, our Board of Trustees, I think they’ll always handle their end of the deal. So if we’re all handling our end of the deal, why would I leave?"On the other hand: "So if we’re all handling our end of the deal, why would I leave? ..."
