Iowa just won on an atrocious no-call

#34 got away with that push in the back a lot of times down the stretch. I had Iowa, but that's a s----- way to decide a game.

My dad went to Iowa so I'm happy they won. But yes that was an obvious push off by Woodbury

Reference was right there and looking at the ball not the bodies. Bad missed call.

Yeah...and no one was even talking about it...dude just shoved him.

Both Verne and the analyst brought it up after the on court interviews so i was late, but they did

...was looking for somewhere to post about that, but didn't want to start a new thread.

I didn't notice in real time, but on the slow-mo, holy crap was did he push off. Two arms, fully extended to shove the Temple guy under the rim out of there.

Iowa (B10 in general) are the kings of choke. My god, Iowa tried to lose this game every way possible. They got bailed out. Utoff seems like he has an IQ of 4 btw, only seen him speak a couple times, but he seems to interview about as well as Alexie Kovalev did when he first joined the NHL. And he didn't speak English. lol

Verne finally admitted it after the other guy tried to downplay it. (And the initial audio had Temple's #0 hollering out '--, man!')

That sucks; hate to be a broken record, but that's an easy call. It's got nothing to do with "letting the players decide the outcome," it's just officiating incompetence (or corruption higher up the food chain).

Yeah, I'm big Iowa fan since I lived in Iowa City for awhile, and my GF taught there (so she's a huge UI fan), but that was crap. A non-call like that shouldn't decide the game.

I've found myself rooting for them ever since I spent a hoops weekend in Iowa City back in 2005 - thought it was a cool town with likeable college basketball fans. Lousy to have a game end like that, though.

There's just no way refs call that with that little time left on the clock. If that was Lydon pushing the kid for us to win, we'd all be saying the same thing - refs swallow their whistle at that point in the game.

Especially when there's always a lot of contact and worse under the basket.

He gone.
