Not sure what to say about this pairing and time. Throw a haymaker. Try to be smart with shot selection even though the guys are probably exhausted.

Iowa State tipped 1hr and 30min before we did yesterday. Slight in difference in rest but not a huge deal, IMO.

Iowa States stafff was probably up late watching everything, thinking they’d be top 4 and a maybe a little prescout on the top teams.

Then they find out they play 0-2 Syracuse at 10AM. They can’t win any money, and they already got a top 15 win against StJohns.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Iowa State is completely sleepwalking.

third game in 3 days. short turnarounds . like to see red rotate some kids every whistle and maybe (gasp) play some zone . fouls really haven't been an issue so far this tourney but fatigue does factor into fouls. you start reaching instead of moving your feet. feel we're due to have a hot game from outside.

I considered taking a later flight home, but I am taking one for the team, because you know if I stayed that 2 things would have happened. 1. my rebooked flight would have been the one flight that got cancelled, and 2. It's going to be absolutely soul crushing if we lose today.

We are so overdue for an above average shooting display, especially from Kiyan.

Personally, my soul will be fine win or lose. It's a long season with a lot of basketball still left to play.

It’s true but this is also a good draw. A win over some other bubble team doesn’t do much but a loss to a NonCon bubble team would be crushing.

Iowa st is really good. It’s also a 10AM tip in Vegas of all places.

We just gotta wake up and be the angrier team. Keep the defense and make better shots. We saw something that could’ve been something Monday. Then a derailment yesterday.

The Nate’s and Kyle need to steady the ship on offense and the rest will fall in line. I gotta believe that this team got back to the hotel and said what the hell were these shots we were taking.

I would hope it wasn’t self reflection at the hotel. I would hope the coaching staff was addressing it on the sidelines and in the locker room. Maybe just rhetorical?
