Is anyone confident we can have a winning team under Red next year?

People aren't going to buy season tickets next season if we do this again. Doesn't matter whose kid is on the team.
I’ve already skipped 5 games this year. That’s more since I was in HS in the early 2000’s when I was playing ball myself. I am basically buying tickets to support the program. I know I’m not the only one.

The only question that remains to be answered is how much more damage to the brand will occur before a change is made.

Yeah, at this point we're shuffling deck chairs on the titanic.

The program needs wholesale change. It's been going downhill for a while, continued with Red's appointment. Will continue until there is serious change.

Imagine starting Choppa, yanking him after he narrowly missed 2 good looks and then reinserting him with under 2 minutes left. It’s almost like he was trying to further ruin his confidence. If the kid isn’t good enough to go back into the game, why is he starting. It’s like there is no plan or thought. It’s the same type of logic where red said last offseason I want to play an up-and-down game where we take a ton of shots and play great pressure defense. Get me a fat center who only blocked five shots last year and can’t move on either end.
Player development is a big problem.

This years freshman draft class is phenomenal. Donnie has stunk relatively speaking and might be the worst guy who played in the McDs AA game. If he went elsewhere there's no chance he's this bad.

Judah returned to Syracuse and went from projected first round pick to undrafted. If he portaled I think he's in the NBA right now.

Clean house. Even alums like Coleman have zero respect for Autry.

A winning team?!? Team will be just as bad, if not worse, barring a major philosophy change and a completely new roster.

I know alot of people kicked weinstein to the curb for whatever reason i have no idea. His pockets are necessary with the sport now being a me first business and no longer really a sport anymore. Let's chase a bag every off-season that will make the game of basketball in college better! Hell coaches getting paid aren't the problem they don't jump ship and get hired at 5 programs in 5 straight years.

Nope. And with the results on the court it’s going to be difficult to convince anyone worthwhile in the portal to come join the team.
If Melo decides to spend in NIL, players will come

Who?

It’s not getting better as long as Red’s the guy. Kenny Payne bad is spot on.

We’re heading for a worst case scenario where Kiyan’s experience damages Melo’s relationship w/ the program.
Melo isn’t dumb. He can see it. Would he push for a change? Who knows. If Kiyans development was #1 he wouldn’t be coming here

Absolutely agree. I think red truly did have a plan somewhat with a decent vision, but he just just can’t execute the plan. He can’t get the plan into the players mindsets on the court. It’s unfortunate, but it is what it is right now.

This has a lot of potential.

Got out coached really bad, that was a major difference.
It's a chicken and egg thing, but when we are missing shots that an high major program player should make, then it's tough to be competitive. But, the coach is ultimately responsible.

This is what I fear. Red had not much of a track record coming in and had a decent first season and really needed to build on that. He needed another season to establish a track record as an NCAA tourney team, and he’s failed at that.

No. We have the new Kenny Payne. But we have been irrelevant for so long nobody bothers making fun of us.
That's kind of funny. Football still gets made fun of to an extent, yet the basketball fall is way more dramatic and should be subject to unending ridicule. Yet no one really makes fun of us.

Marketing wise red has to go. He’s dead man walking next year no matter what.

School will keep him on because Syracuse usually makes the easier and dumber decision. Fran was the exception in my 35 years caring

Wildhack has to be ruthlessly pragmatic here. Interest is gonzo. Red was a Mayo like mistake. Time to right it

Moore was a very bright spot early in the season. Perhaps even a surprise to Red. The kid was confident and made his shots. His reward was a gradual decrease in playing time and sitting behind guys not producing. Yes, he did get a shot eventually starting a few games , but it seems like it was begrudgingly done.
The guys we got in the portal on a whole gets a grade of C. Hopefully, the staff has learned that we are in the ACC and will need high level players from the portal to be successful. Yes, there have been select players from the mid majors who have performed well moving up to the major conferences, but this roster under a below average coach still finding his way was doomed from the start.
I would hate to see Red get fired after only 2 seasons but I don't see a big enough improvement happening with his coaching next year unless an experienced coach is brought in to be his lead assistant who can teach him the nuances of coaching successfully (handling and developing players, in game coaching and planning {x's and o's}, and in game adjustments, etc.).

And remember, Fran found Syracuse, we didn’t find him.
