Sorry I've been away all day but I'm glad my article has sparked such a good discussion. Again, no inside info, but I feel good about him being back sooner rather than later
Key words are "no always" Since it is in some cases, they make it a blanket rule erring on the conservative side. This removes the decision about exactly what can and can not be said. As the sayi9ng goes; "If you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all."I understand that it is illegal. I'm pointing out that that that is not always to the player's benefit, since the speculation is often worse than the truth.
It just amazes me how many people still fail to understand that it is illegal for a school to discuss certain things about any students academic situation. Some of you would be facing lawsuits by now.
