Combine that with RB up the middle and the offense is incredibly vanilla.

The screens and shovel passes are really run plays that use a pass to create a horizontal stretch. You're being generous counting them as pass plays. By my count it's 3 true pass plays that are run out of multiple formations. 4 verticles. Tagged receiver to option route. Half field flood. Then there are multiple variants of an RPO where there is a pass option usually built off a quick inside slant to the field.
