here's a great new one:

Bill Raftery calls my hotel room, first thing he says: "What are you doing, playing with your Twitter?!"

:D

I liked this one (paraphrasing)...

Rafferty driving to the arena and parking on street in tow zone...

me: "I don't think you you can park here, Bill. That arena guys is waving you to move..."

Rafftery: "Don't worry, I'll give the kid a fin!"

My favorite was when he posted 2 pictures. One said "Where I want to go for dinner tonight" and it was a neon sign that said FOOD or EAT. Then he said "Where Rafftery wants to go to dinner tonight" and it was a neon sign (I am assuming right next to it) that said BAR.

Bilas is up there, but for my immature humor I am a big fan of author Tucker Max' tweets..heres a gem:

"Contrary to what some think, fat tuesday is NOT adele's birthday. Shame on all of us who thought that"

Jay's pretty funny. But by far my most recent twitter comedy favorite is @KimJongNumberUn

Bilas/Raftery/McDonough are awesome together, I hope they follow us to the ACC. Not only are they excellent game commentators (non-bias ones at that), but they are hysterical.

In a world filled with pundits who care more about schtick and whoring for attention over the actual knowledge and content that they have to offer, Bilas and Raf are always a welcome sight and unfortunately a rare breed. They seem like they put on little to no front and have a good time talking about the game, not unlike a discussion that Joe hoops fan would have with some friends while catching a game and knockin back a few brews.

Bilas is the best. He's maybe the best at his job, but humble and doesn't take himself too seriously. He jokes around, appears laid back, calls out the NCAA on their hypocrisies, and pokes fun at himself.

I like Bilas for all the reasons mentioned, and I really appreciate the ways he does his best to be fair even when his heart is clearly aligned with Duke and the ACC. Some of the other announcers could learn a lot from him.

Having said that, at times I do pick up on the subtext between McDonough and Raf, who in their hearts are aligned with the BE, and Bilas who is aligned with the ACC. These guys will cleverly frame the action in a way that best suits their true feelings.

In my opinion Billy Packer abused this sort of framing tactic to no end, and I am so glad he retired. I think McDonough, Raf and Bilas are more innocent and have no agenda like Packer did.
