Is JGIII okay after the injury last night?

He took a bad hit on the shoulder and also looked like he had the wind knocked out of him. He may have been in shock going back in as JB was scolding him on the sidelines as he was also trying to recover from the hit.

He wasn't ok mentally it looked from the tip so this only further adds to his struggles.

Outside Miami and Clemson he has been ice cold shooting the ball his last 9 games.

He looked disengaged from the jump and thru his struggles and shortcomings he usually brings a little attitude to the games. Last night that was missing. I did laugh when JB was giving him an earful after getting hurt.

I applaud JG3 for playing out of position. He's come a long way, but yesterday was definitely not his night.

Yeah it's not on him at all. It's on the position he has been put in. He has made the best he can with it but when something is still a struggle its always going to be so and when it is a bad day... it's a really bad day.

It would have made no difference in the outcome but it was pretty egregious Pitt wasn't called for a foul on that play he got hurt. I mean the dude was flying towards him. It was not incidental.

This is what has happened during his career. Once January rolls around, he reverts to a 32/33% 3pt shooter and 38-40% from the floor overall, which is a bunch of terrible shooting games mixed with the occasional hot shooting game to keep the %'s above water. He's not built to play 35+ minutes and it looks to wear him down throughout the season.

I think he could handle 35+ minutes per game if he wasn't being forced to play the point which is not his natural position. It's gotta be exhausting having the bring the ball up being harassed most of the way and then having to run the offense as well as try and find his shot. I get tired just watching sometimes

I like Joe in a different role. But he is just completely overwhelmed. Every time he gets his pocket picked he puts his head down and barely jogs back on defense.

He could play serviceable PG for a P5 in school in spurts. But he’s being asked to play 40mpg at PG and no one else on the team can even dribble.

Every single player this year is in a difficult position and are expected to do way too much.

Btw how was that play not a foul? The kid from Pitt literally launched himself into JG as he was passing. Not the reason we lost but for the ACC refs never disappoint in their ability to disappoint.

Yeah, I feel for Joe. He's just a different player when he can play the 2. Did you notice his reaction when getting the ball stolen from him as he was bringing it up the court? It was like "ahhhhh... not again!". That must be such a bad feeling... demoralizing.
