Is NC State the Rutgers of the ACC?

To me, Rutgirls doesn't really exist or matter. It was just another team, like Temple, that we used to beat up on every year. I never really give them much thought. As far as ACC teams, I dislike them ALL, except for the Orange, of course. But the team I despise the most, more than any team in the country is Va Tech. Can't stand their team, coaches, fans, school colors, stupid mascot, pretty much everything Va Tech. Ever since they joined the Big East.

To me Wake is different. Smaller, private school. Difficult to get into. NC St. not so much!

This is a weird thread. How you can compare a team that just bumped off FSU and UL to a team that has been outscored 224-0 against that conference's top competition? I'm also pretty sure that NC State does very little to move the emotion meter around here whereas Rutgers has a 200+ page dedicated to them. The do both wear red I suppose.

Florida State isn't good and Louisville isn't living up to the expectations set by last year's team. I don't think this NC State team is good, but more so winning in a field of mediocrity.

Based on what? Let's break it down shall we?

FSU is indeed 1-2. Who did they lose to? Alabama and NC State. Who did they beat? Wake who is 4-1.
Let's take a look at the Cards. 2 losses also. Who did they lose to? Clemson and NC State.

So basically the two teams who you have proclaimed as deficient have only lost to either the #1 or #2 team in the country and also to NC State. I'd also like to point out that the Cards have scored 35 or more points in all of their games this year except two. Wanna take a guess? That's right, Clemson and NC State.

Nc State could easily be undefeated. They outgained S Carolina 520 to 250. lost because of turnovers. That bad FSU team outgained Nc st in total yards with a freshman QB playing for the first time.

Their fan base seems to be a bit Rutgers and UConn esque.

In terms of programs, I’d say their old BE comparison would’ve been BC. Occasionally bad, almost always mediocre, occasionally good, never at the top doing anything major.

FSU is FSU... but they got problems. Preseason I would have given us a 5% chance to win. Now? I’d say 20-30%.

They are not just having QB issues. Their line is not great either.

I can tell you as a Lions fan most of my enjoyment over the past 10 years was being able to actually pick on Browns, Jets, and Bills fans. As long as you stay in the irrelevant pool, you aren't embarrasing anyone. When Rutgers starts trolling PSU and Michigan, well now let's talk about that. I don't see us trolling Clemson or FSU. Buttgers is fair game though, fleabags too.

The sieve-like qualities of the FSU O-line are why they are having QB issues. Francois was running for his life nearly every time he dropped back to pass until he was finally hurt.

I don't know. History of winning + NFL paychecks are plenty motivating for Pats players.

He has the charisma of a potato, has nothing to do with wins or paychecks. Has everything to do with personality and he is void of that.
