You will need ot determine that in context, With Michael gone , Battle in, and Malachi and Lydon a year older next year may be a 26-5 type year and we will see the start of it in the 2016 Tournament.

WRT the tourney, based on seed alone the team has overachieved by a lot. Not many 10 seeds to make it to the final eight.

Boeheim's been to elite eight or better with 2, 2, 4, 3, 1, and 4 seeds before this.

This is tops for me. It just looked like we couldn't close the deal this season in so many games. There was always someone who just disappeared, sometimes for stretches of games, and it always hurt us. We were too young, had no inside presence and were wildly inconsistent.

When we came out against Dayton I thought the team looked focused and disciplined, way more so than the regular season. It has been that way each game (for some reason I thought maybe less so at the beginning of this last game.) Gotta hand it to JB, he has some tools to work with and is getting them to mesh at the right time.

Been a Cuse fan since the mid-80s, and I think this is probably tops for me. Felt like an NIT team most of the year, and now we're in the Elite 8. Hard to believe. And anyone who says "it's because they got an easy path" can get lost.

In terms of high school recruiting rankings, 2010 should be up there. If I recall correctly, they would talk about how none of our starters were top 50 recruits, and I believe only Jackson was top 100. Onuaku, Rautins, and Triche(due to injury) were under the radar recruits for us and so was Wesley Johnson for Iowa St. So for us to basically be a machine that soundly beat most of its opponents that year would be overachieving based on recruiting.

However that team was very good all year, we knew AO was good by that point, Johnson was already an established good college player and was older, Rautins was proven by that point though he took his game up several notches, we knew Triche was going to be good and would've blown up much bigger in HS without that knee injury, etc. So it wasn't that surprising to us that we were very good that year.

Does anyone know what our tournament seating was in 96?

4 seed

I wonder if any 10th seed has won the tournament. Well, we have to get past UNC first which I hear are a perfect team for beating our zone just like UVA.

We're the first 10 seed to make the final four. I believe 8 seed is the highest to win (Nova).
