The NFL is 1 league based on a merger of NFL and AFL. SEC + BT + ND + several ACC schools and maybe Texas Tech will only create more TV money.

The SEC commissioner has opined that the SEC and B1G cannot succeed as its own league. More than ND, a few ACC schools and TTech will be needed for a separate league or upper echelon.

He's been consistent with protecting the P4. He is not a person that blows with the wind. The fact that each conference's in-conference schedule is a zero sum gain causes some conference teams to be the bottom feeders. Sankey understands his teams need the lesser conferences for the three out-of-conference games to bolster the lower level SEC teams to bowl games.
