I'd feel bad about an early exit in the tourney.  The team (just like any team in the country) needs to play well and get some decent matchups in the NCAA's to win it all.  I think many of us (myself included) form a lot of our identity from how the team does.  An early exit is embarassing, while a strong showing makes us feel proud of our team and ourselves.  Still, I've woken up 28 times this fall/winter feeling pretty happy due to an SU victory the day/night before.  That's gotta be worth something!
 
Finally, I feel fairly confident in Scoop's leadership.  The kid has really matured on and off the court since he got here.  It's been a slow and steady progression, but his best basketball is coming.  He's definitely showing the signs of being ready to carry the team deep in the tourney.  Mostly that means making good decisions and keeping everyone on the same page.  I think he has the personality to do that.  I'm optimistic and excited to see what happens!
