The Cornhuskers lost their fourth game of the season Saturday, this time to Wisconsin. They lost on a field goal with four seconds left. That comes a week after the Huskers lost to Illinois on a touchdown pass with 10 seconds left. Before that there was an overtime loss to Miami. And to start the season there was the Hail Mary loss to BYU with one second remaining.
To recap, Nebraska has lost four times with a grand total of 15 seconds remaining on the clock. This is a team that is setting new standards for ways to blow a game. There must be a part of first-year coach Mike Riley who wishes he was back at Oregon State, where there were about 40,000 fewer angst-ridden fans in the stands on any given Saturday.
