But for an AO injury and a Fab brain fart, we would have 3 FF and 1, if not 2, NCs this decade.
Now to have CM,KJ2 and maybe IW added to this roster next year is amazing. Thank you JB and staff.

Yes it's a great time to be an su fan and has been for a few years. That's about all I agree with.
 
We weren't a top 4 team this year or in 1996...it all evens out and what ifs will drive you crazy!

Yeah, seriously.
All except maybe one person I know was down and out last season, when we were in a funk.
Then we started rolling!

Btw, I am not that one person who believed, although I wish I made it two. ;)
 
I would agree with those that think our chances were better the year with AO than FAB. Although we were indeed looking good that year as well.

To this day not a soul will ever convince me that the 09-10' Rautins/ AO team wouldnt have won a title. Every time I think about this it kills me. That was the best SU team I ever saw and I suspect maybe ever will. Every time out I expected that team to win and they had the killer instinct most all SU teams lack. That was our year and it was stolen from us with less than a minute to play against Gtown. That was our year :(

Yup. I believe that the next two games would have been a KSU team coming off a 3OT game and a MSU team that had taken a huge hit at guard with an injury, if I remember correctly.

yes, if fab did not screw up and if AO not injured, we would have have 3 final fours in 4 years, and another title, no doubt

The fact we made the final four last year with a team that seemed highly inept at times proves that ANYTHING can happen in the tournament. To make these sort of "no doubt" comments is silly to me. Regardless, butler.

By the way, I'm sure Kansas fans were proclaiming they would no doubt have won in 03 had Wayne Simien been out there.

simien would have ended up making them too crowded in the middle not allowing langford to use his skillset as well. plus simien was no guarantee to make his freebies either nor would he have guarded gerry in the first half.

I don't know if Melo was hurt but I do remember the body check into the glass by Oklahoma St. I swear I saw the Hanson brothers at that game.
