So far in Syracuse Sandy has been a big pfffffftttttt. The core is supposed to come almost directly over us tho ... on the 31st!! Feel very bad for those so severely impacted by this storm, At this time it looks like we dodged the bullet for a while.

Sandy was never supposed to have a tremendous impact on Syracuse like over the mid Atlantic states. When the center moves north across central NY, it will be in a much weakened state and, therefore, will not have anywhere near the impact it did to the south, other than some rain and perhaps some gusty winds at times.

Well they closed schools here yesterday, companies closed early and water was scarce in grocery stores. Granted the coast was ground zero but they expected some impact.

Nothing but wind gusts. I am not complaining.
