And have some semblance of an undefeated season dream.

Here's a stat: we now have as many 2-0 starts in the past 12-13 months (two), as we did in the 20 seasons between 1994 and 2013 (we started 2-0 in 1999 and 2011 only).

So if I recall correctly, McNabb redshirted in 1994, which means even he never started 2-0 at Syracuse. I wouldn't have guessed this statistic.

Brutal schedules.

We had all time great blowout wins at Michigan and against Wisconsin in the Meadowlands, and went to Chapel Hill and hammered a heavily hyped and good UNC team in that era.

Unfortunately when you schedule to where every single game is tough, you’re going to lose some.

But the nutkick losses to Minnesota, NC State, and Tennessee were just ridiculous bad luck. One absurd play/call/missed call away from a W in all 3 of them.

I would like to think that we are finally stabilizing after 3 HC’s in a brief period of time. Babers being in year 8 has really helped this program regain some what of an identity. Sure he’s been to only 2 bowl games, but throw in a couple 5 win seasons that were completely devastated by injuries. He showed he could win big in 2018 when healthy and a senior led team. Last year we had 7-0 within sight if not for a bad penalty. Now this year where even though it was Colgate and WMU we’ve had years where we never made it look as easy. They’re back to receiving votes and have a chance to be ranked with a win at Purdue and then Army. When was the last time we were ever within smelling distance of the top 25? Our depth at skill positions have finally improved as well as defense. We have 2 outstanding coordinators. I would look to extend Babers so it can’t be used against us on the recruiting trail. He just has to open up a bit and try to embrace the community and build back this fanbase.

They we’re ranked as high as 14th last year.

We were ranked last year, when we started 6-0 and we finished ranked #14 in 2018.

If we scheduled a Patriot team and Directional state every year to start we could be 2-0 a lot. I know I'm in the minority, and totally understand the bowl eligibility scheduling, but as a STH I long for the days when we could play what I deem legit people every week. A third of the season will be done and over half of our home schedule before a legit team comes into the building.

Why slit your own throat when every other program does that?

we get to 3-0 and 4-0 is almost a lock and a great chance to get to 5-0 against a down Clemson squad.

I can't escape this press conference and remember vividly being in my car leaving sky top and heading for Rochester.

"We're 3-0 hasn't happened for 24 years Bud"

That was off a close win against a directional Michigan team.

It feels like the team is in a bigger and better place now.

Oh lord, the dreaded “We’re 3-0” speech. Man did Gross suck, between hiring Gerg and this idiot. Not to mention other stuff

Is that the ISIS press conference?

He also hired the three coaches that have our three most recent national championships, so he did some good things.
