It never inspires them to play better. The all-time worse I ever heard about but wasn't there for thankfully was the booing of Troy Nunes. A kid who gave his all every play. Sure I know his all fell short of our wants on the field but on ocassion he pulled off a few that were truly amazing. Hence Sean Keely's site with Troy's name as its title reference. TNIAAM. In any event Freddy Garcia will probably not start any more games for the Yanks Once the Boos start in NY its the death nell for the player.

Um...you realize TNIAAM is a sarcastic name pulled from a ridiculous quote, right?

Troy Nunes would have lasted longer than 1.2 innings against the Tigers today.

Pettitte can't get here fast enough.

I agree; no good comes from booing. If anything, it just makes players press. All athletes want to succeed. In most cases, they are more disappointed by their own failures than fans.

As a Yankee fan, I am embarrassed to be lumped in with the idiots that booed Mariano Rivera, Derek Jeter, and CC Sabathia.
