I mean, yeah, on paper you'd like to bring an experienced starting C back for another year.

But - he was rated the 14th "best" C in the ACC, which is... sub-meh.

I've gotta imagine FRAN & crew think they can:

• do better
• do at least the same, but at lower NIL cost

And statistically, the odds are that we do better.
You'd like to have at least average players on your team, as compared to your peers.
Dollar General ended up being below average.

we replaced Reed for a chunk of the year with another kid that didnt play a ton over his career and I dont think most of us noticed much of a difference since we dont ask our centers to do much but make good snaps and try not to get run over.
