As of March 2026, the Houston Texans acquired punter Kai Kroeger from the New Orleans Saints in a trade, replacing previous punter Tommy Townsend, who left for the Tennessee Titans. The team also added Syracuse punter Jack Stonehouse as an undrafted free agent to compete for the position.
