Basketball Hall of Famer Jack Twyman dies; became guardian of paralyzed teammate

"Maurie" the movie came out in 1973 and starred Bernie Casey and Bo Svenson. Bernie Casey was also in Brian's Song which came out a couple years earlier. I remember seeing Maurie in the theaters when it first came out, but I'm not sure I have even seen it on TV since then.
