Jackson Meeks: Lions FA

Hard to envision Meeks having a better preseason, for an UFA. Talk about making the most out of the opportunity.
He’s no Victor Cruz, but he’s having a great one!

And admins, take this stupid approval bullshit off.

I'm an Iggles' fan. I'm tellin' ya, Meeks would at least be their #5, and perhaps their #4, receiver if they picked him up. They lack depth there.

C'mon Howie, work your magic...

Jackson Meeks thru 8/17: Very, very good! He is the best or tied receiver in this preseason!

I wonder if that's a good thing. Was he playing? In the last preseason game they typically hold out the guys they don't have questions about.
I think they are hoping against hope that he doesn't get claimed before they can put him on the Practice Squad. Meaning, they saw no point in giving teams any more film on him. They drafted a WR who has done really well, Isaac TeSlaa, who looks like an immediate contributor.

So, I think Meeks will be a victim of the numbers game. But I also think the Lions really like him.

If the Lions were being aggressive they'd keep Meeks with the draft pick and move on from one of their other "proven" vets for draft capital and cap space

Kalif Raymond and Tim Patrick for example

I mean, that's possible. Jameson Williams, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and TeSlaa are clearly ahead of him. Come to think of it, Raymond and Patrick are older veterans, think they're both in their 30's.

There's still hope!
