Doug was always going to leave for a NFL job if he got offered one. Most football guys would rather have coached in the NFL than the Big East. Call them crazy.

Except had he stuck around he would've coached in the ACC.

Some guys are wired to coach college and others are wired to coach NFL. Doug belongs in the NFL. He'll always find a job there.
