Jameis State

FSU has definitely lapsed from the sublime into the ridonkulous in how the entire situation with this kid has been handled since day one. And they have no choice but to keep going now, given how deep they've dug and how firmly entrenched they are. Because to do the right thing now would be to admit that they have completely @#$% done the wrong thing for the past two years.

It worked for Auburn.

Beating on FSU's moral compass is easy pickenings. Like shooting fish in a barrel. Making accountability occur at that institution is much tougher. I would prefer to see a piece that discusses who in the university administration has direct authority to hold student athletes, and coaches, responsible. Expose *those* people and you might see something actually done to make them accountable.

The sexual assault charges continue to be really troubling.

Everything else... meh. BB guns, stealing crab legs, shouting stupid stuff, trying to make a buck from autographs... these things show that he's a first-class dope, but are they really things that should shame Florida State and bring down their football program?

I think the question just as much is, what are other crimes committed by football players that have been swept under the rug? Se xual assault, DWI, theft, kicking the out of innocent people? Who knows. I'm guessing there have been a significant amount of crimes committed that nobody knows about.

Seriously...I hate Jameis and FSU as much as the next guy but people really bring out the pitchforks when a team is on top.
reason's why teams to make it to the top.....cheating and the handlers knows that

While I agree with you, there comes a time where the cumulative effect kicks in.

I've got a feeling are trying to get past notre dame with jameis and figure they can win out without him. There is no way they can keep this charade going for much longer. There's blood in the water.

Not sure how the back drop of the P5 semi-autonomy may effect this.
