Carlos has actually been decent the last 6 games - 6.5 apg and team offense has been better over that stretch. If he played like this all year we’d probably be the same 18-14 type of team we’ve been the last decade.

I'll say this because nobody else would... he has been terrific the last 2 games. 17 assists to 4 turnovers and last night he set up JJ with 4 wide open looks from 3 that he couldn't knock down. I know how beloved he is on this board so let me have it.

hes played a lot better and settled in on the offensive end prettty well

he is still a very poor defender though...cannot guard anyone

but only 183rd on defense...

checks out with carlos' play

hes still a clear net negative despite doing some good things on offense

IF you had like 3 or 4 stud defenders to pair with carlos...it could work...but not with this roster

I appreciate him coming along and will always support any player choosing to be Orange, but I can honestly say I am ready for a new PG and am happy he is moving on.

Junior Year at Hofstra:
Carlos was named to the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) All-Defensive Team for the second consecutive year ... He was third in the CAA in steals average with 1.6 per game ... Carlos was first in the CAA and 12th in the nation with 6.4 assists per game...really

Where'd you go man? Was the jump to this level too much? We needed your last game at the JMA to be every game this season - that's why we gotcha. We needed solid play on a team that required it.. but didn't work out - good luck to you!

A player deserves kudos when he plays well. At least we are getting a taste of what the staff saw in him. Glad he is doing better.

Lampkin was inordinately aggressive against Virginia. His dribble was pure power. What could have been? The player that worries me is JJ. He can hobble any team and Coach is so close to him that he does not coach him.

Yeah - Carlos...

I am glad he has somewhat figured it out in the last few games and he is clearly fast enough and skilled enough to play at this level, when he focuses and applies himself (which I did not think he was capable of earlier in the season.)

That said, he looked like he was still in the CAA for most of the season and playing at that speed (not fast enough).

It shouldn't have taken him all season to dial it up... and a fair amount of blame can go on Red and staff for that as well.

Hopefully he's hitting his stride for the ACC tourney tho.

Carlos with a few decent games recently and people are wishing he had more eligibility. NO THANKS!

He is getting to play damn near the entire game and yet his offensive numbers are not great and defensively he struggles big time. Most importantly his slight uptick in stats has not translated to wins. If Cuse wants to turn things around next year and make the tournament, there is a need for a major upgrade at the PG position (as well as most other positions as well).

He had a much more solid game offensively, and even some on defense. Wish he played this well 15 games ago.

Overall, I was just glad to get a win after dominating the entire game, and not blowing the last 5-10 minutes.

Happy Carlos is playing well...it is still not good enough of that I want him running the show in future years. But I am happy with him as of recently and hopeful he can continue to show what could have been in the ACCT

Totally agree, I'd love Carlos to be back and be the first guy off the bench. I think he's finally figured out the pace, and his shot has improved a lot since the beginning of the year

He's a role player and that's fine you need them.

Could probably make an argument defending him on the over and back call last night but that was a face palm moment. Did he get bumped? I wasn't sure and I do think the part of the line that disappears in the logo is ridiculous.

Agreed, but issue was that JJ was awful playing point. He just gave the ball up for a layup one time

You're right. No reason for him to not be playing 40.
