Jawhar Jordan, Markenzy Pierre ‘bring surprise’ to offense

If this info is true, we better be balls to the wall recruiting at least one more RB for the 2021 class.

A real thunder and lightening combo. I'm interested to see how they distribute carries.
Yep add in Elmore to boot to block. Based on what I've seen in the past I Really think this is addition by subtraction at this position. Excited to see them do well

These 2 are in prime position here and I believe the O will function better. The other 2 are similar backs and MP/JJ are much more dynamic and complement each other with MP being structured more between the tackles but still can bounce it out and hit the perimeter. JJ...well, just show him some daylight and good night.

I don't understand this thought process, (especially if Hough is the player we think he is)if Howard and Adams were playing, they would both still have eligibility next year, granted Adams could choose to be done with his career.

Both guys will be back next year, return significant playing experience and should be both healthy and in excellent shape. If they aren't, they will still be on the roster and be capable of playing in a pinch if they fall down the depth chart. It would be different if we thought they were both either leaving the program or jumping to the pros. I imagine at least one of the two (and probably both) is back next season.

Only thing I need to see from these two is better ball control. Both have put the ball on the turf in the past but hopefully have worked that out.

What I HOPE to see is catches out of the backfield one v one with defenders

Since the NCAA is granting an additional year on the eligibility window whether you play this year or not, it is not relavant that they will be back next year because everyone can be if they want to be. It is only relevant that most are playing and a few are opting out.

The biggest winner this offseason is Markenzy Pierre. He was buried and passed on the Depth chart and now he'll be getting regular carries game in and game out if he plays well. Happy for him.

And despite the above, he continued to work hard, didn't grouse, didn't immediately look to transfer out despite the bleak outlook for PT, and was a respected player in the locker room. And when opportunity knocked, he'll rise to the occasion because he's a hard worker.

But because eligibility is there, we dont NEED another RB is my point

When the "Babers" offense is running optimally, the run game is focused on gashing the defense through the A gap, including jailbreak runs to the endzone, not getting the ball to the edges with the run game. Howard was the prototype back for this offense.

I hope this works out.

since RBs call all the protections I dont expect less experienced players out there in real time in games that are on the line unless other things happen..

I like Pierre but I have a feeling by the forth game you see a lot more of Jordan and tucker in the backfield.

Agreed. It has to be just the mental learning part at this point.

Draft or no Draft both of these kids will never play for SU again

He said, "If the info is true." The info in question includes them prepping for the draft. So, if it is true, they won't be back.
