Jawhar Jordan, Markenzy Pierre ‘bring surprise’ to offense

He said, "If the info is true." The info in question includes them prepping for the draft. So, if it is true, they won't be back.
That sucks. Best of luck.

I don't understand this thought process, (especially if Hough is the player we think he is)if Howard and Adams were playing, they would both still have eligibility next year, granted Adams could choose to be done with his career.

Both guys will be back next year, return significant playing experience and should be both healthy and in excellent shape. If they aren't, they will still be on the roster and be capable of playing in a pinch if they fall down the depth chart. It would be different if we thought they were both either leaving the program or jumping to the pros. I imagine at least one of the two (and probably both) is back next season.
My post was based on the assumption that if the new info was true and neither Howard or Adams would be coming back. If so I think we should bring another back in this 2021 class. Really like the guys we have in the fold but still think we need to add another piece. Keep in mind all other units should be deeper as well with all players adding another year of eligibility.

Maybe it was a situation where Jordan was taking playing time from both of them and the coaches wanted him on the field no matter what.

I am sure that wouldn't be well received by either of them. That being said I think that hanging it up to take a shot at the NFL is a really poor choice.

I like Pierre but I have a feeling by the forth game you see a lot more of Jordan and tucker in the backfield.
For a second I thought you were referring to a former hoops recruit.

All I know is that Jawar and Markenzy are now the backs of the future IMO. The worst thing any RB can do is allow an underclassman to get touches especially with the durability Markenzy has and the speed Jawar has. They will also have the new offense down pat. LOL

You NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, allow another underclassman to get his rhythm in the offense as a RB, because all it takes is a few memorable plays when the game is on the line during the season and the coach will anoint him for the future.

It's a WRAP!

KUDOS to Jawar & Markenzy for grinding it out.

This is literally what happened with Howard and allowed him to get in the good graces of coaches and fans. I believe it was his true freshman year against FSU wasn't it?

New offense?

And yes, dino should drop them on the depth chart and make them earn back spots like a true frosh.

Couldn't agree with you more.

I said a similar thing that Jordan may have been taking snaps from the both of them already which did not sit well with them. Or he may have been listed higher than them on the depth chart already, that usually will upset an upper classman more than some might think. Sometimes it is done to motivate, sometimes it backfires.

I don't think a coach does that like it's a punishment. The best player plays. However, if either or both come back and it's neck and neck between a guy that played and one that didn't, the guy that played is gonna get the nod.

And despite the above, he continued to work hard, didn't grouse, didn't immediately look to transfer out despite the bleak outlook for PT, and was a respected player in the locker room. And when opportunity knocked, he'll rise to the occasion because he's a hard worker.
He put up big numbers in Florida high school football, that's pretty significant, I got a feeling he's going to literally take this opportunity and run with it

The Athletic is reporting the two are sitting out to prepare for the draft
Neither Adams or Howard will get drafted, pipe dream for both of them. Adams got chances last season and did nothing. Granted, the line was bad but Moe was productive and gained more than 700 yards in the same situation. Howard is a good short yardage back near the goal line but didn't play that much other than goal line or short yardage.

Moe was better than both of them and he went undrafted, what are they thinking.

Adams has his degree I believe but Jarveon for sure doesn't.
